Taking part involves completing two rounds of an online survey.
The first survey will show you a list of outcomes that have been used before in studies of treatments to lower the blood glucose levels of patients with type 2 diabetes.
We will ask you to score each item on the list for how important you think it is to include in a set of core outcomes measured in all future studies of glucose lowering treatments for patients with type 2.
You will also be able to add anything that you think is missing.
When you register to take part we will also ask you for some information about you like whether you are a patient, a carer or a health professional and, if you are a patient, how long you have had diabetes for.
The survey takes around 20-30 minutes to complete and needs to be completed on a PC or large tablet, it may not work properly or be difficult to read on a mobile phone.
The second survey will be sent to you by email a few weeks after the first one ends. In this survey you will get the chance to see how different groups of people have scored each outcome and to re-score based on this information.
At the end of the second survey you will also be asked if you would like to attend a final face to face meeting to discuss the results of the survey and agree the core outcome set.
No, but if you do take part we hope that you will take part in both rounds of the survey.
This helps us to ensure that the results of this study are not affected because those who drop out have different opinion.
